About Connect at a Distance

The world of theatre and film provides a set of skills that are invaluable for anyone and everyone.

Connect at a Distance brings our online rehearsal rooms to whatever remote setting suits you. We offer a range of online and in person sessions for adults, organisations and business.

We have spent much of the last twenty years travelling the UK and the world; performing at the RSC, Shakespeare’s Globe, the National Theatre, as well as in New York and on London’s West End.

As workshop leaders and coaches, we have been privileged to work with a wonderful range of businesses and participants including CEOs and executives of large corporations, as well as small start-ups and Third Sector organisations. 

Connect at a Distance is our unique in person and online combination of performance practice and coaching techniques, turning learning into behaviour. It brings connection and confidence and empowers leaders to meet their potential.

Connect at a Distance recognize that we have obligations to protect any data that we collect from individuals.

It is important to us that our customers and supporters know how we use and protect their personal data in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

This is our privacy policy for our website and other services, which include newsletters and our social media presence. Your privacy is protected under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Privacy Protection Statement.

• We only collect and use individual user details if you have given your permission for us to do so.
• The information we collect is very limited. We do not collect personal data from visitors to our website, or social media sites.

• If you sign up for our newsletters and updates we will collect and securely store any personal data you choose to give us (for example: your name and email address) in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

• Our newsletters and updates are sent out using Gmail and MailChimp. When consent from you is given in the newsletter and updates subscription process, we will add your data to our Gmail and MailChimp lists. The information is securely held by Gmail and MailChimp only includes your name and email address and will not be shared by them or us with any other party.

• Connect at a Distance will never sell your personal details to anyone and do not use your data commercially.
• We may use personal data to understand the demographics of the individuals using and accessing our services, though this data will not be shared outside of the organization.

• All data securely stored by Connect at a Distance will be reviewed annually, to ensure that the organization does not hold on to personal data indefinitely.

Your rights

You have the following rights. If you wish to invoke any of the below, please contact us.

• Right to be removed: You can change your mind at any time about your data being held by Connect at a Distance. We will permanently delete your details and all data.
• Right to modification: You can request access to and update your data at any time, in order to correct or complete your personal information. You can also contact Connect at a Distance at any time to access, correct, amend or delete information that we hold about you.
• Right of access: Our Privacy Protection Statement (above) describes what data we collect and how we use it. If you have specific questions about particular data, please email info@connectatadistance.org for further information.
• Right of portability: We will export your data to a third party at any time upon your request.
